My grandmother did not have anything old from her childhood except jewelry and even though they do not have amazing stories about them, they are from her childhood, some of her accomplishments and things that have taught her many things in life.

This is a piece that goes on a necklace and is over 50 years old. It is full of real gold and although it is small, it is quite heavy. She says that this means a lot to her because an old man had gave it to her to remember him by and she has never forgotten him. She also says it used to be a lot prettier than it is now. |

This is a ram head pin to keep your tie in the right place. It was my grandmothers first husbands and it is completely gold. She says it does not mean much to her, but it is worth some money. This is also more than 50 years old. |

These are rings that my grandmother has had for a very long time. On the first finger the two rings from top to bottom are my grandmothers moms rings and they are a size 4, which is very small. The next two are my grandmothers wedding rings when she married Larry, my grandfather. The rings from her first marriage were stolen. The last two rings on the first finger are rings from Alaska and are about 60 years old. The two rings on the second finger are my grandparents class rings. The bigger one is from '67 and the smaller one is from '89. My grandmother dropped out of high school before 8th grade and when her daughters were grown she went to Mountain Empire and graduated. |
